Finney County United Way Honors Sunflower with Corporate Citizen Award

Tue., Aug. 27 | Last week, Dawsena Miller and Anna Van Wy proudly accepted Finney County United Way’s Corporate Citizen Award on behalf of Sunflower Electric Power Corporation. This accolade highlights businesses making a substantial impact through both financial support and volunteer efforts.

For the past two decades, Sunflower led an impactful workplace fundraising campaign, with many employees generously donating their time to support United Way events. Our commitment extends further each year as we apply for the CoBank Sharing Success grant, which benefits United Way programs in Barton, Ellis, Finney, Ford, and Seward Counties.

We are deeply honored to receive this recognition and extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved. This award not only reflects our dedication but also underscores our alignment with Cooperative Principle #7, Concern for Community. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the betterment of our communities and look forward to continuing our support and involvement.
