Sunflower employs a wide variety of positions spanning the electric generation and transmission spectrum. Our power generation facilities require the skills of operators, mechanics, and electricians. A highly skilled team of line, substation, and relay technicians and engineers maintain nearly 2,500 miles of transmission infrastructure We also employ a wide range of corporate professionals who enable our business to run efficiently and cost-effectively for our member utilities.

Our interview process includes a virtual interview followed by an on-site interview at the specific job location.  

To identify and assess a candidate’s abilities and skills, some of our positions utilize employment aptitude testing, skills testing, or request work samples as part of the hiring process. These tests have been shown to be job-related, fair, objective, and are used to help find the best fit for our positions. Employment tests are given on-site and may take several minutes or hours to complete. Don’t sweat; we will provide instructions and a testing location free from distractions. Sunflower performs post-offer drug/alcohol testing and criminal background checks for all people who accept conditional job offers and actual employment is linked to the results.
